This proposal seeks to embrace the notion of the public library as one of the last holdouts of the free and public interior by dissolving the thresholds between city street and interior space.
A transparent, Miesian glass box encases the book stack tower and floats over an undulating concrete terrain formed by the gentle sloping of circula-tion ramps. A wide, spiralling ramp creates a single boulevard-like trajectory through the interior space.
